Although it is true that we want to provide an alternative to the BBB for accreditation, we are not looking to pose as the BBB or copy what they do. Our goal is to be better, more affordable, and to provide you with tools that are far more practical for winning and managing real work.
What MyFloridaBusiness actually does
MyFloridaBusiness manages several thousand homes for residents in every Florida ZIP code. We help local service providers get guaranteed work in the ZIP codes they choose by assigning jobs directly to providers on our platform.
We guarantee work for all businesses on our platform. This is why we limit the number of businesses per ZIP code in each service category. In the unlikely event we are unable to secure business for some providers during their subscription period, the next year is free.
We provide thousands of leads for businesses, but our biggest difference comes from how our Community Managers work directly with homeowners to schedule your services. Homeowners rely on our Community Managers to understand their needs, coordinate appointments, and connect them with trusted local providers like you.
Here is a clear breakdown of how we support your business:
- ZIP code based coverage. You tell us which ZIP codes you want to serve. We focus our outreach and homeowner requests in those exact areas.
- Guaranteed work with limited competition. We cap the number of providers per ZIP code and category so that participating businesses have a real opportunity to receive steady work.
- Guaranteed protection on your investment. If we are unable to secure business for you during your subscription period, the next year of service is free.
- Community Managers working for you. Our Community Managers work directly with homeowners to understand their needs, schedule services, and keep you positioned as the go‑to provider in your assigned areas.
- We manage homeowner requests. We handle inquiries from residents, organize service requests, and route those jobs to the right provider.
- No rating grades or letter scores. We are not a traditional rating agency and we do not sell letter grades. Our success is measured by whether you receive real, paid work.
About "accreditation" and our relationship with the BBB
We will continue to use the term "accreditation" in our verbiage, but we want to make a strong effort to differentiate ourselves from the BBB as an alternative. Our accreditation describes providers who meet our internal standards. Please note that additional approval is required to receive work from our Community Managers or from homeowners and residents.
Any BBB‑accredited business will show in our system as also being accredited by MyFloridaBusiness. This is being done because we value the BBB’s long history of accreditation and want to honor that legacy while building something better for the modern era.
Important note: To receive leads or have our Community Managers send work to you, you must register as a MyFloridaBusiness service provider. Simply being BBB‑accredited does not automatically enroll you in our work assignment system. You must complete registration to participate.
If you saw any of our previous emails, messages, or graphics and felt unsure about what we do, we are truly sorry for that confusion. You deserve simple, honest communication and a partner that respects your time and reputation.
